Upcoming 2017-2018 School Year Performances

 

 

Nutcracker 2017

Nutcracker Audition Date:

We are excited to Invite All Intensive Students to audition for Adagio Ballet’s ‘The Nutcracker’!

*All students must be enrolled in a 2017/18 Fall Session ballet class  

*All students auditioning will receive a role in The Nutcracker

Ages 7-9: June 16th 4:30 PM- 5:30 PM

Ages 10-12: June 16th 5:30 PM-6:30 PM

Ages 13+: June 16th 6:30 PM-8 PM

Nutcracker Participation Fee: $100

  • Registration for participation must be completed prior to the first Nutcracker rehearsal

Rehearsals: Students who wish to perform in Adagio Ballet’s ‘The Nutcracker’, must consistently be available to rehearse on the weekends from Saturday, September 9th through the completion of the Nutcracker Performances. ***Rehearsal schedule to be announced

Rehearsals will be approximately 1 hour long per role.

Rehearsal Schedules and Casting will be posted on the Student Portal->Performance Page on Adagioballet.com and in the school lobby.

Student Pre-requisites, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  1. Students must be enrolled in either Ballet, Jazz or Modern Intensive classes and taking at least one ballet class to be eligible to audition
  2. Students must be available to attend weekly weekend rehearsals
  3. Students must attend all rehearsals in the theater
  4. Students who have more than 2 rehearsal absences may be ineligible to perform.
  5. Notification of student absences are expected in writing to office@adagioballet.com, prior to the rehearsal.
  6. Intensive ballet levels 1 and 2 will have the opportunity to perform in the Nutcracker without auditioning. Rehearsal time to be scheduled during weekly classes (Intensive ballet 1 & 2 only)
  7. All ADC dancers will have the opportunity to perform in a Company ensemble piece without audition. If dancers want the opportunity for a second role, they must audition. ADC members will rehearse during their allotted weekly rehearsals.

Photos and DVDs: Adagio Ballet will host a weekend photo day at the school for all students participating in The Nutcracker. All dancers will be photographed individually and by class, in full costume, and photo packages will be available for purchase. DVDs of the performances will also be available for purchase. (Photo day participation is optional)

Show Weekend: December 9th an 10th 2017

Tickets: $12.00 if purchased prior to the performance and $15.00 at the door. All Dancers will receive 2 Comp tickets

Spring Concert 2018 for Early Years and Youth Programs

Who Performs in the Spring Concert: Little Fairies, Dancing Princess, Tiny Ballerina’s and ALL Youth Program students are eligible to perform in the 2018 Spring Concert

Costume Cost: $65 per class ($60 for second costume, $55 for third costume)

Spring Concert Fee: $65 (**Paid once per family)

Rules and Regulations:

  • Registration Deadline to perform: February 1, 2018
  • Students who are performing in the Spring Concert must maintain enrollment and attendance in the same class after the start of the Winter Session. Students will not be permitted to move classes after the February 1st -Registration Deadline. (This rule is specific only to students who will perform in the Spring Concert)
  • All Costume fees must be paid prior to February 1st- to secure participation
  • All Students must attend the Spring Concert Dress rehearsal

 

Photos and DVDs: Adagio Ballet will host a photo week at the school for all students participating in The Spring Concert. All dancers will be photographed individually and by class, in full costume, and photo packages will be available for purchase. DVDs of the performances will also be available for purchase.
