The hustle and bustle of dozens of young students warming up in our orange studio can only mean one thing- the Adagio Winter Showings are here! After they are thoroughly stretched, our Youth Program students then move on to the yellow studio where their costumes of sequins and tulle are hanging on the barre. Each student is assigned a costume that corresponds with their dance. The ballet dancers perform an excerpt from the Nutcracker, and our Jazz and Modern students are assigned fun choreography to a special Christmas tune. During the showings in our black box studio theater fully equipped with stage lights and curtains, parents are encouraged to take photos and videos of their children and to bring flowers to support them on a job well done. This intimate stage setting offers students a positive and encouraging performance experience while allowing parents and faculty to cheer them on. The excitement in the moments leading up to the dances is nothing compared to the happiness that the students exude when they come off stage! Congratulations students!
