YAGP- A Weekend of Competition & Memories

A HUGE Congratulations to all our 2017 YAGP Competitors!!! Adagio Ballet carefully selected 10 Intensive Students to travel and compete on behalf of the school in the World Renowned, Youth America Grand Prix Semi Finals Competition. YAGP competes in 17 U.S cities and countries around the world, including France, Brazil, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Canada and Mexico! Adagio Ballet dancers competed in the Pre-Competitive Classical, Junior Classical, Junior Contemporary, Senior Classical, Senior Contemporary and Ensemble Categories. Each of the dancers have been training with their coaches and choreographers, all apart of Adagio Ballet’s staff, weekly from August to January to prepare for the competition. We are so proud of the artistic and technical growth each of these hard-working dancers displayed on the stage. All their hard work paid off! Erin Barth and Hayley Varacalli (coached by Evelina Petkova) placed within the “Top 12” of over 100 competitors! Erin was also awarded a 50% Scholarship to the Bolshoi Ballet Summer Intensive Program! Most importantly, the girls had a great experience competing, and participating in workshops and master classes from some of the most well-known dancers and teachers in the world! Congratulations to Julia Timpane, Erin Barth, Mikaley Bolden, Sofie Treibitz, Lily Hendrey, Carolina Payeras, Mia Steis, Kiara Nelson, Heidi Givens and Hayley Varacalli and each of the Adagio Ballet coaches and choreographers!
