Whether 8 or 80 years old, no one can deny the beauty and grace that accompanies ballet. As dancers, we get the pleasure of sharing our art with others and hopefully, affect their day, week, or even life! Our Junior Ballet Division of Adagio Dance Company saw this in action this past Saturday, April 14th. As an extra performance opportunity, we visited the Sommerset Retirement Community in Sterling, Virginia to perform for their residents.
The elderly are always most appreciative of ballet, especially when they see young ones following their passion. While our students only danced for a short while, the impact made on the residents at Sommerset was certainly lasting. We are so grateful for the opportunity to share our dancers’ hard work, and love for them to broaden their horizons by performing for audiences of all ages! Congratulations on a beautiful performance, girls!
