Recitals

Adagio Ballet holds a Winter and Spring Recital, and our shows never exceed two hours. Because of our growing numbers, each year we split our Spring recital into more and more shows in order to make it more convenient for both the parents and students.

For the Spring recital, each family pays only $80 to cover the cost of the recital, this fee includes borrowed costumes from Adagio Ballet’s wardrobe, one professionally produced DVD, and 1 professional 4x6 photograph of each student in the recital. All levels from Dancing Princesses and up have the opportunity to perform in the Spring Recital.

The winter recital includes all Beginning Students (Ballet Tap and Jazz Beginning I) students and all levels above and is held at the end of the Fall session before we leave for winter break.

Guidelines and expectations

With over 300 students participating in each annual recital, it is very important that all of our parents follow several guidelines to make our dress rehearsal and performance day work as smoothly as possible.

How to prepare your dancers

The Annual Recital is an important goal for your dance students to work for. At Adagio Ballet we believe that learning about performing on stage, controlling the excitement, learning to deal with shyness and stage fright are all important aspects of the artistic life. However, at Adagio Ballet we are not fixated at the recital and we regard it as an important lesson.

What to bring

All dancers should come to the dress rehearsal & performance wearing:

1. Their hair in a bun or as dictated by their specific class costume (see list below).

2. Footed tights in light pink or white.
