Ms. Michelle Conroy is originally from Batavia, NY and began taking ballet lessons at the age of three. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA with a B.A. in Dance and Arts Administration. Through multiple master classes, workshops and residencies, she has worked with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, The Paul Taylor Dance Company, The Trey McIntyre Project, Bruce Marks, Laura Alonso, Kat Wildish and many other renowned instructors and companies. In 2008 Michelle trained with the ConfiDance Foundation, a pre-professional program in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. There she worked with leaders of Netherlands Dance Theatre and the Dutch National Ballet including Maurice Causey and Krzysztof Pastor.
In 2009 Michelle interned with Dance, Pointe and Dance Teacher Magazines gaining experience in various administrative and marketing aspects of dance through editing, writing, and assisting in photo shoots for each publication. She has performed with the Genesee Ballet Repertoire Company, the Lake Erie Ballet, The Mercyhurst Dancers and currently with Dancin’ Unlimited under the direction of Marilyn York and Gin Dance Company under the direction of Shu-Chen Cuff. Michelle is very happy to be a part of the Adagio Ballet Team! |
