Ms. Kelly Sammon is originally from Youngstown, Ohio,
where she started dancing at age 3. She danced and competed in a number of national
dance competitions along the East Coast, Las
Vegas, Panama
City and Niagara Falls.
Ms. Kelly graduated cum laude from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts
in Dance Performance. There, she was accepted into the pre-professional company, the Kent
Dance Ensemble.
She received the School of Theatre
and Dance Scholarship Award along with the Kent Dance Ensemble Guest
Artist Honor Award while being selected to perform in pieces
choreographed by Cliff Keuter, Robin Petterson, and Kim
Karpanty.
During her tenure at Kent State University, she was affiliated with the
National Dance Education Organization and Ohio Dance Association. Ms.
Kelly has performed professionally for the modern dance companies such as
Travesty Dance Group and Verlezza Dance and currently dances professionally for
Dancin' Unlimited, under the direction of Marilyn York.
Ms. Kelly is
thrilled to be in Northern Virginia and to be teaching
at Adagio Ballet!
