Dance Collectives
The Collective Program is a new initiative of Adagio Ballet aimed
at making dance appealing to a wider community of young students ages 2-8.
Over the past six years our director, Svetlana Marintcheva, has created and
polished our unique Adagio Ballet syllabus, which is now known as our Classic
Program. These are our Little Elves, Little Ferries, Dancing Princesses, Tiny
Ballerinas, and the Beginning, Advanced and Intensive Ballet, Jazz and Tap levels. Our
Classic Program became a huge success and every year we see it grow more and more
structured and academic.
This prompted us to create an alternative curriculum that will run in
parallel to our Classic Curriculum and this is how the Collective Program
was born. We hope that the collectives informal setup, dance form combination
and open format will provide a great place for young Students to have a blast while being exposed
to many different dance forms. This way, we hope, students will be able to feel
and choose what's right for them and join the Classic Program at the suitable time and discipline, when
they feel they are ready.
Our Collective Program is split into three levels:
- Parent-Child Class, also known as Mommy and Me (or Daddy and Me)
- Preschool Collective for ages 3-5
- K-3 Collective for ages 5-8
Class pricing is a bit lower than our Classic Program classes, as fewer
costumes and props are involved and the number of students limit is higher than in our Classic Program.
Also students from our classic program may attend and make up in the Collective Program for
free if spaces are available.
Monthly billing is available for the Collective classes and prices start at
$78/month. Siblings and families registering for the whole year get additional discounts.
We are extremly excited about this new program and hope it will be a success!
Our ballet and jazz programs
for children ages 2 1/2 through 16 focus first on instilling a love
of the magical world of dance in our students and capturing their
natural enthusiasm for movement and music.
