The Puppets' Workshop

This is a camp designed especially for students ages 4-5.5. The camp offers an unforgettable summer experience to the dancers who are still beginning their journey into the art of ballet. By developing and understanding the fun of creating dancing puppets, we will explore the ballet class format and interaction with other dancers. We will dance with partners and in groups. We will make friends and share our craft ideas. On the last day of camp the students will present their dance in front of family and friends. Come and applaud your dancer's achievements. Bring your cameras! The camp consists of a level appropriate technique class, learning new movements and combinations both across the floor and in the center, and preparing choreography to be presented to parents and friends at the end of the camp. Every camper will feel proud to be a co-creator of the dance that will be presented at the last day of camp in front of parents and friends. The Students will make new friends during craft and snack time (Juice & Healthy Snack provided) while they work on designing and decorating their own props to be used at the end of the week performance. This camp will help aspiring dancers to deepen their passion for dance, develop a better understanding of the dance technique by enhancing of their dance vocabulary and terminology, dance coordination and musicality. They will cooperate and share with other dancers. The students will progress at a faster rate as they prepare for their continued training in the fall.
