The Making of "Peter and the Wolf"

arrow 6 - 9 years
In this half day camp students will enter the magical world of stage performance through the creation of their very own version of the classic children’s ballet story, “Peter and the Wolf”.  Students will take a ballet class, learn acting techniques, and be an integral part in the stage production designing props, costumes, and scenery. Focus will be placed on ballet technique, developing character roles, acting and self-expression through dance, performance quality, stage presence, and creativity through art projects in preparation for their stage performance.  Campers will feel proud to be the co-creators of the final performance and will be excited to invite families and friends to be the audience for their Black Box Theater performance.  Come celebrate your student’s accomplishments and bring your cameras!
