Intermediate Jazz

Our Intermediate Jazz Students further develop their musicality to understand syncopation in choreography and to make active use of jazz technique and proper alignment. At this point of their study, our Students solidify their ability to understand choreography on an emotional level while memorizing its details on a technical level. As Students further develop speed and quality of turns; spotting, alignment, and fast footwork, they also focus on self-correction, following vocal instruction, and demonstrating strong vocabulary knowledge. Another main focus of this level is developing further strength in order to allow large and technically advanced leaps and jumps.
This is the first of the three Intermediate jazz levels in the jazz curriculum of Adagio Ballet School. The Students who have successfully completed the Junior Jazz III level at Adagio Ballet School or the most advanced beginner level at other dance school and have the necessary dance skills are eligible to attend a class in this level.
The main focus of the program is placed on development of important dance abilities as self correction;
