Stay in Shape

This is a program with recreational and fitness purpose in a fun dance environment . The program focuses on the following goals:

  1. Increasingthe body strength and flexibility trough safe and fun adapted dancemovements.
  2. Improvingthe musicality - the sense of rhythm; accent and fluidity. 
  3. Introducingthe Student to the basic principles of dance that most of the dance formsshare by comparing ballet, jazz and tap techniques.
The 30 minute Power Barre class is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs and burns fat while improving postural alignment and increasing flexibility. The ballet barre is used to perform small isometric movements while moving gracefully to music. This technique protects the joints and improves balance and coordination while focusing on creating long, lean muscles in the abs, hips, gluts, and arms.

This 30 minute Yoga course is designed to provide a stretch and strengthening workout that calms the mind and spirit while your student is taking a dance class. Yoga at Adagio Ballet offers a mixture of several different yoga practices including Anusara, Vinyasa and Kundalini. We will focus on proper body alignment, breathing exercises and meditation in order to help melt the stress of the day away. Our bodies will undergo a transformation of lengthening and strengthening while we flow through each movement and pose with balance and grace.
