Ladies Yoga
8.4 - 10.7 years
Yoga at Adagio Ballet will offer a mixture of several different yoga practices including Anusara, Vinyasa and Kundalini. We will focus on proper body alignment, breathing exercises and meditation in order to help melt the stress of the day away. Our bodies will undergo a transformation of lengthening and strengthening while we flow through each movement and pose with balance and grace. Classes are all levels, but teachers will offer variations and modifications to suit each person’s individual practice. Yoga is a great natural remedy for every day ailments and improved health, circulation, detoxification and internal purification. It promotes better circulation, allowing the body to distribute oxygen through the blood helping the body to revitalize and energize. Anusara means “to flow with grace; to step into the currents of the heart” Vinyasa is a series of breath synchronized movements Kundalini yoga focuses on classic yogic poses, deep breathing and meditation in order to form a great mind, body and spirit connection Poses incorporated in our practice will range from hip openers, backbends, arm balances, warrior postures, sun salutations, cobra, plow and shoulder stands. Yoga corrects improper posture and offers a full body work out while toning and strengthening both the mind and body. Please remember to bring water and a towel and/or yoga mat.
