Alumni Faculty

Former teachers at the School are dear to our hearts. We prize the work they have done at Adagio and we value our relationships with them throught the years.

Ms. Andrea

A native of Upstate New York, Ms. Andrea Krisko began her ballet career at the age of 5 with the Decker School of Ballet under the training of her mentor, Donna Decker.

Ms. Krisko was also a member of the Chenango Ballet Theatre for 15 years, including several years as a soloist and guest artist. While a member, she performed in dozens of classical and contemporary ballets, and had the priveledge of training under Slowamir Wozniak, of the Theatre Wielki in Poland and Katherine Wildish, formerly of New York City Ballet.

Ms. Nicole

Ms. Nicole Hillman Cohen is a versatile dancer and performer whose training includes ballet, jazz, tap, modern, hip-hop, ballroom and Latin dancing. An enthusiastic teacher, Nicole counts as her strengths her choreography and performance skills and her ability to make dancing fun for all ages.

Nicole began dancing at the age of 3 at Paula Evelo Dance Studio in Houston, Texas and was accepted into the Margot Marshall School of Ballet and its performing company, the City Ballet of Houston.

Ms. Christine

Ms. Christine Magenheimer is an accomplished Classical Ballet Teacher for children.  She began studying dance in Wellesley, MA with Cindy Wright, and later received further training from the Boston Ballet School, the North Atlantic Youth Ballet, and the American Academy of Ballet.  Christine graduated from George Mason University, with Honors and both a BFA and a BA in Dance.

Christine continued her dance studies at the Alvin Ailey School, where she was accepted into both the Intensive and Certificate programs.

Ms. Kelly

Ms. Kelly Sammon is originally from Youngstown, Ohio, where she started dancing at age 3. She danced and competed in a number of national dance competitions along the East Coast, Las Vegas, Panama City and Niagara Falls.

Ms. Kelly graduated cum laude from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. There, she was accepted into the pre-professional company, the Kent Dance Ensemble.

Ms. Kate

Ms. Kate Crowder is a native Washingtonian, and a recent graduate of the University of Virginia. She received her ballet training at the Georgetown School of Ballet as well as at The Washington School of Ballet.

While at the University of Virginia, she danced with The Rhapsody Ballet Ensemble where she co-directed the company's first ever production of Tchaikovsky's Christmas classic, "The Nutcracker."

Ms. Tuya

Ms. Tuya Tumennasan is a graduate of The Vaganova Ballet Academy of St. Petersburg, Russia were she trained for 8 years. As a professional dancer with the Academy Theater of Mongolia from 1992 to 1996 she danced in Swan Lake as Odile and Odette, Giselle, La Corsair, Bayaderka as Nikki and Gamzatti, Sleeping Beauty as Aurora, Les Sylphides, and Raymonda and a number of other Classical Ballets. Ms.Tumennasan competed in the International Ballet Competition in Japan and Russia and won 4Th place in the New York International Competition. She  was also a guest artist in LaBoul Ballet Festival in France and the Balanchine Festival in Washington DC.

Ms. Ashley


Ms. Ashley Sevits is originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina where she danced with the North Carolina State Ballet for seven years.  Her roles include Odette and Two Swans from Swan Lake and Sugar Plum Fairy, Clara and Snow Queen from The Nutcracker.  During her ballet training she also took part in Dance Competitions around North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. During her dancing career miss Ashley has won many awards, honors, and scholarships.  She has taken intensive training in companies as The Joffrey Ballet School, the South Carolina University and the American Dance Artist with Adrienne Canterna.

Ms. Jenna

Jenna Nichols began her professional ballet training with the New Castle Regional Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and YouthMet. She continued with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater and BalletMet where she also had the opportunity to perform professionally. She has been a guest artist with Ballet Forte where she has performed various classical and contemporary pieces including selected variations of Anna Pavlova and the Snow Queen in the Nutcracker.She has studied classical ballet with exceptional staff such as Robert Steele, Nan Keating and Leonid Lubarsky and Ailey Movement with April Berry.
