Alina Dolgolenko began her early training in Charlottesville, VA under former Stuttgart Ballet pupil and company member, Nicole Mcgurn (formerly Busse). After completing her early classical ballet training under the Vaganova and Royal Ballet methods, Alina moved back to her hometown of Moscow, Russia, where she continued taking classes at the Moscow Choreographic Institute (formerly known as the Bolshoi Ballet Academy).
After intensive training under Nadezhda Alekseyevna Vihreva, Alina returned to the United States where she studied year-round at The Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington D.C. and The Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, FL. While her main concentration and training has always been focused around classical ballet, Alina has also participated in multiple character dance festivals, where she received awards in Flamenco dance.
She also participated in summer sessions, workshops, and master classes in New York City and Los Angeles where she worked with world famous choreographers such as Debbie Allen and Mark Godden. Upon completing her training at the Washington School of Ballet, Alina received a B.A. in
Communication Studies from Christopher Newport University. After many years of competing and dancing throughout Russia, North America, Switzerland, Spain and Ukraine, Alina continues to teach and help others pursue the love for dance. She is very excited to begin teaching and working within the Adagio Ballet family.
